Jesus chastised the Pharisees and Scribes for putting their traditions before the scriptures. Many churches and people still do this today. What is the test for whether a particular action or requirement is man-made or God designed? Check the scriptures. If it is not there, then it is a man-made tradition and not from God. Jesus asked, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?” Matthew 15: 1-3 (NKJV)
