God Has Our Back
Series: No Series
As we read the story of the Israelites escape from Egypt and the crossing of the Red Sea, we see that God not only led the Israelites, but in their great time of need He moved from the front of the group to the rear to protect them from the approaching Egyptian army. Likewise, if we are willing, God will lead us where He wants us to go and when Satan is trying to attack us, He will have our back and be our defender. Exodus 14:1-31 (NKJV)

    Sometimes Bad Things Just Happen
    Series: No Series
Whether a person is killed by accidents, natural disasters, or human cruelty, does not mean that they are worse sinners than those who survive. Jesus tells us in Luke 13 that everyone will eventually die. The important thing is to repent of your sins and get right with God so you will not perish but have everlasting life! Luke 13: 1-5; John 14:1-3 (NKJV)

    A History Lesson
    Series: No Series
Knowing the past helps us live in the present. Brother Mike explores the history of the Star-Spangled Banner, a symbol of American Freedom. He also speaks of the flag of our faith, the symbol of our Christian freedom-the Lord’s Supper. Both of these symbols remind us that freedom is not free. It is only brought about by the shedding of blood. Galatians 5:1; 1Corinthians 11:24

    God’s People Are Color-Blind!
    Series: No Series
Jesus tries to help the disciples see their prejudice and lead them to where they need to be (color-blind). Just like the disciples, Christians sometimes let our fears and bad experiences prejudice us against certain groups of people. And like the disciples, we need to learn to be color-blind and accepting of all people who come to seek Christ regardless of color, race, or gender. Matthew 15:21-29 (NKJV)

Don’t Let God Pass You By
    Series: No Series
Jesus had planned to pass by the disciples because they had not understood who he was. However, He decided to have mercy on them and got in the boat with them to save them from the storm. God has every right to pass us by and leave us to judgement for our sins. But He is the Great Shepherd who wants to draw His sheep to Him. So, He extends His grace and mercy to all who will receive Christ as Savior and Lord. Mark 6: 45-52 (HCSB) (Tablet video not available due to technical difficulties)

Bacon and Eggs? (Moving Beyond Ourselves)
    Series: No Series
As Christians, we need to move beyond ourselves in serving, loving, and building relationships. Our goal should be with one mind and one voice to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul discusses how food was a stumbling block in the early Church because people judged each other based on what they ate. We are not to be judgmental of others. Each person will one day give an account of themselves to God and He is the one who will judge. We are to love and lead people to know Jesus, and not be a stumbling block to them. Romans 14, Romans 15:1-7 (NKJV)

The Faith of a Mustard Seed
To be effective witnesses, we must be humble and forgiving (the Bible says seven times seventy). In order to be forgiving as Christ wants us to be, we must have faith; faith based on who God is, what He has done, and what He has promised. Luke 17: 1-10; Hebrews 11: 1, 11 (NIV)

Genesis 22: 1-14; Hebrews 11: 17-19 (HCSB)
