Spring 2019 Life Group Classes Begin Wednesday, January 16, 2019

Watch for the following Life Group classes to be offered this fall.

Prayer Meeting

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer (Romans 12:12); They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer (Acts 2:42); Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving (Col. 4:2).  Prayer is foundational to the Christian faith. Let’s gather with like-minded believers and see for yourself how God answers the prayers of His people.  The Deacon of the Week will lead this weekly time of intercession in the Fishers of Men classroom each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm.

Psalm 23: The Shepherd With Me – Bible study for Women

Facilitated by Sally Gaertner, this Jennifer Rothschild study leads women to gain fresh insight and encouragement from Psalm 23.  This beloved psalm is more than a psalm that comforts in death; it gives confidence in life.  Meet each Wednesday in the Green Room.

3:16 – The Numbers of Hope

If 9/11 are the numbers of terror and despair, then 3:16 are the numbers of hope.  Best-selling author Max Lucado leads readers through a word-by-word study of John 3:16, the passage that he calls the “Hope Diamond” of scripture.  Thomas Welfel facilitates this study each Wednesday at 6:30 pm in God’s Playhouse.

Apologetics: Based upon the Book of Genesis

Ron Bluff teaches this apologetics class that focuses on answering questions centering around the Old Testament book of Genesis. Meet in the T.E.L. Classroom each Wednesday at 6:30 pm.

The Story – by Max Lucado

Participants will experience the narrative of the Bible in a whole new way as Tom and Jean Harris lead this Max Lucado study each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in the classroom at the far end of the hall.
The Story is also offered each Sunday morning at 9:15 am.
Ladies Mid-Week Bible Study

1 Peter: A Living Hope in Christ – mid-week study for women

Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading.  In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance.  Join Mary-Ellen Long each Wednesday morning at 10:00 am in the Annex for this video-driven study.  The cost of the participant book is $10.

More Than Moms – mid-week study specifically for moms
