Welcome to the FBC Kids Ministry at First Baptist Church – Floresville!

The FBC Kids Ministry at First Baptist Church exists to provide a loving, nurturing, and safe environment in which to teach our children the importance of a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

By partnering with parents, family members, and the church body, to instill a desire to:
LOVE Christ, LIVE for Christ, and LEAD Others to Christ.

What We Believe

Children are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3-5 & Luke 17:2)
Children, like adults, are seriously flawed and are in need of a Savior. (Genesis 8:21 & Psalm 51:5)
Children can grow in grace and use their spiritual gifts for the glory of God and the edification of the church. (2 Peter 3:18 & 1 Corinthians 14:12)

Children’s Ministry Weekly Schedule

Sunday Morning Bible Study – 9:15 am – 10:15 am
Children (through 6th grade) will begin to Explore the Bible during this hour.  Well-screened leaders will emphasize biblical literacy and rich Bible study, helping boys and girls to focus on specific Bible skills.  We desire for children to build Bible skills for a lifetime so they will treasure His Word.  Our prayer is that boys and girls will be grounded in rich Bible study that is heavily focused on biblical literacy.
Children’s Church (ages 4 through 2nd grade) Sundays
Boys and girls begin the 10:30 am worship hour in the sanctuary with their families. Moms and dads are encouraged to introduce their children to the corporate worship experience and guide them to begin to understand what worship is all about.  As the song-service part of worship is ending, children ages 4 through 2nd grade are dismissed enjoy Bible-learning activities and hear God’s Word together with other boys and girls.  Children’s Church is optional, and families are encouraged to worship together.
Extended child care is available in the nursery/preschool area for boys and girls through age 3.  Parents are encouraged to volunteer regularly at their convenience and help with child care.

Mission Friends (ages 3 to 5) Wednesdays 6:30 pm
Mission Friends is a place where preschoolers can learn about missionaries around the world, Bible study, sing, play, and learn Christian principles through studying how God is working in foreign lands.

RA’s, GA’s, and Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills (grades 1st through 5th) Wednesday 6:30 pm
Royal Ambassadors and Girls in Action help boys and girls learn about missions, missionaries, and the ways God is working around the world.  During the summer, there is a one week children’s camp for Bible study, fun, and games.  Bible Drill is a great way for children to learn to know His Word and cling to it.
B.A.T./Biblically Active Teens (6th graders) Wednesday 6:30 pm
This class is to learn Biblical truths to encourage students in their Christian growth.  It is a transitional class, preparing pre-teens for the time when they enter the youth department.  The 6th graders have been joining the other middle schoolers on Wednesdays for Bible study.
