How Do I Meet People?

First Baptist Church of Floresville is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at First Baptist Church of Floresville.

Life Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups. For that reason, First Baptist Church of Floresville offers Life Groups that meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm (unless otherwise indicated) during the fall and spring semesters.  Studies are topical and last approximately 8 to 12 weeks. Click HERE for current Life Group classes.

Sunday Morning Bible Study Groups
Check out our ongoing weekly Bible study groups for all ages that meet every Sunday morning at 9:15 am.

Kids Ministry

Age-graded classes are offered for babies through 5th graders. Kids are given opportunities to experience the Gospel through age-appropriate, engaging lessons.  Classes are taught by carefully-screened teachers, who love the Lord and enjoy teaching kids.

Student/Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, students participate in their own classes, divided by grade. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every student can participate and learn. Each class’s teacher is carefully-screened and thoroughly trained in students’ instruction.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of First Baptist Church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.  This class meets in the conference room in the Annex.

Women’s Ministry

First Baptist Women’s Ministry gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.  There are two Sunday morning Bible study classes offered for women: Helping Hands, and the Proverbs 31 class.

Men’s Ministry

First Baptist Men’s Ministry gives the Men in our church family special times of interaction through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the Men in our church.  Watch for our monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfast (usually held on the last Saturday of the month), and our men’s Sunday morning Bible study class, Fisher’s of Men.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack – internally and externally.  First Baptist Church gives married couples the opportunity to be a part of Bible studies and discipleship.  There are several classes to choose from on Sunday mornings. Jars of Clay, the Ragamuffins, or Titus 2
